We just closed a new round of funding, and we’ve been thinking a lot about the future. We’ve challenged ourselves to build the best service out there. How do we run an astoundingly great meal program? How do we create a spectacular end-to-end experience?
For us to focus on these projects, we’ve had to make a really tough decision. We’re leaving Los Angeles.
We’re not leaving forever, though. When we return to LA, we’ll be back with a better service. We love our customers, and we think that at the end of the day this is how we do right by them.
It’s our mission never to leave anyone with a bad taste in their mouth — that’s how a company with a heart does things — so here’s our plan to leave with love and respect:
- Chewse will provide a full month of service before we suspend service in LA.
- We’ll be working closely with our customers and vendors in LA to provide support in the transition.
- We will officially end service in LA on September 12.

Chewse will continue bringing great food to our San Francisco clients. In fact, we’re working tirelessly to bring new innovations to our meal programs here. I’m so excited to unveil these new features and services in the coming months.
We started this company in LA, and I am immensely grateful to everyone there who helped us get where we are. When we come back, we’ll bring you a bigger, better Chewse.
