Fresh Out The Oven – Chewse New Restaurants

Phew! It’s been a busy past couple of months for our Restaurant Partnerships Team. They’ve been working hard to bring on the perfect combination of city favorites and hidden gems to wow your office. Have a look at what’s new:

Barzotto

Barzotto is a self-defined “American pasta bar.” This neighborhood Mission enclave takes its pasta seriously – each noodle, from spaghetti to strozzapreti, is hand-rolled and dressed up with housemade sauces and mix-ins that show off the Bay Area’s finest ingredients. Buon appetito!

Woodhouse Fish Co.

There are plenty of fish restaurants in the SF sea, but Woodhouse Fish Co. tops the charts. Their East Coast meets West Coast take on seafood makes for an approachable, craveworthy menu that finally puts to bed the debate of who does seafood better. The answer is clear: Woodhouse does!

Buttermilk Southern Kitchen

With Southern food fast becoming a San Francisco staple, the brand spankin’ new Buttermilk Southern Kitchen is hot off the waffle press. This new Mission eatery is all about comfort and charm, with classic dishes fit for SF’s choosy palate. We’re talking crispy fried chicken, fluffy biscuits and hot jambalaya. Ooooo-eeee are you in for a treat!

Trop Bon

Born in Korea, raised in Paris and inspired by her European travels, Sang Ae created Trop Bon to combine her love of cooking and hospitality with her multicultural upbringing. Trop Bon is an all-purpose caterer with an eye toward detail and service, lending to a delightful experience time and time again.

Latin Grill SF

Latin Grill does un poco de todo – slow cooked meats, bright festive salads and authentic soul-warming sides. This bustling hotspot caters big flavor with influence from countries throughout Latin America.

Myriad Gastropub

Take your taste buds on a Grand Tour with Myriad’s globe-trotting menu. This California-Meets-Everywhere gastropub masters the art of global cooking, infusing San Francisco style into cuisines from around the world. The result? A myriad of approachable and bold flavors!

Kasa Indian Eatery

Kasa opened it’s doors in 2008 with one goal in mind – Get SF hooked on Indian food. Mission accomplished – their addictive kati rolls and slow-simmered dishes stay true to classic Indian recipes. With freshly ground spices and housemade marinades, Kasa shows off that even though Indian food is all about big flavor, it’s the little things that make it happen.

WesBurger ‘N’ More

Wes has quickly staked his claim as one of the most badass burger slingers in town. The Texas born n’ raised chef gave us a taste of his soon-to-be-famous 100% ground brisket patties at Mojo cafe. The popup went viral, and fast. Today WesBurger ‘N’ More’s permanent home is smack dab in the middle of the Mission, where hoards of hungry food lovers flock from far and wide in hot pursuit of his burgers, fried chicken n’ more.

Toma

At Toma, the classic taqueria gets an upgrade. The neighborhood Marina spot calls its food “fresh Mexican” and every recipe come from the owners’ grandmothers in Durango and Sonora Mexico. There are no shortcuts here – everything from the salsas to tortillas are made from scratch. Top that!

King Knish

Ramni Levy found his schtick, and it’s making knishes for the boys and gals of San Francisco. This Eastern European snack is made with flaky pastry dough that’s filled with potato and other ingredients before being baked to savory, soul-warming perfection. Ramni adds some chutzpah to his knishes with inventive fillings and all locally sourced ingredients. This is Jewish comfort food at its best.

El Sur

Marianne Despres’ take on empanadas hails from the sleepy towns across rural Argentina, where the savory pastries are filled with only homegrown ingredients. Based in San Francisco, El Sur sources strictly from Northern California, often from Despres’ family farm in Sonoma. Their mission is to preserve the artisanal approach to empanada making, which you’ll surely taste at first bite.

Jane

Neighborhood hangout for Fillmore folks, Jane is a beloved mainstay known for its healthy cafe-style food. Pros at just about everything from baked goods to sandwiches to granola, this cafe isn’t your average Jane.
